About

LandLab is a practice of architecture, urban design, research and territorial analysis.

LandLab is also a laboratory. We investigate and experiment, we develop our projects through research, we try and test things, ideas, processes and solutions. Against style(s), fixed or pre-conceived ideas, we develop our projects, our methods and our strategies on the basis of what we find in and can learn from each situation, combining our experience and sensitivities with a politics of active listening and a dialogue with the clients, collaborators, partners and inhabitants.

LandLab develops projects and interventions that are rooted in their environment, context and landscape. By inhabiting these contexts with care, interest and attention, we articulate situated knowledge(s) in order to produce situation- and site-specific proposals.

LandLab is also interested in projects of spatial and/or territorial transformation that question and explore the relationships between life and form as well as the ways in which we organize our coexistence.

LandLab aims at developing an architecture of dissenting pragmatism, in which design, construction and care for the land and its people go hand in hand.
